Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2011, Volume 5, Issue 3,   Pages 303-307 doi: 10.1007/s11705-010-0565-y

Abstract: This paper describes an elaborate study on obtaining Ag/PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) leaky hollow waveguide which has a large aperture and low loss in transmitting solar energy. Through analyses and comparison, a quartz capillary with the inner diameter of 2 mm was chosen as hollow waveguide. We used the xenon light source, which has the similar spectrum as the sunlight to test and analyze the performance of the Ag/PMMA leakage hollow waveguide. The results are consistent with the transmitted theory of the dielectric/metal leaky type well. Meanwhile, the Ag/PMMA leaky-type hollow waveguide in this work had good qualities. Therefore, it will be a satisfactory medium for solar energy transmission.

Supermodular interference suppression game for multistatic MIMO radar networks and multiple jammers with multiple targets Research Article

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 4,   Pages 617-629 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000652

Abstract: To deal with the threat of the new generation of electronic warfare, we establish a non-cooperative countermeasure game model to analyze and interference suppression between multistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars and in this study. First, according to the strategy, a supermodular game framework with a fixed weight (FW) vector is constructed. At the same time, a constrained optimization model for maximizing the radar utility function is established. Based on the utility function, the best strategies for the radars and jammers are obtained. The existence and uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium (NE) of the are proved. A algorithm with FW is proposed which converges to the NE. In addition, we use adaptive methods to suppress cross-channel interference that occurs as direct wave interferences between the radars and jammers. A algorithm for joint and is also proposed. The algorithm can ensure the best , and also improves the interference suppression ability of the . Finally, the effectiveness and convergence of two algorithms are verified by numerical results.

Correlated channelmodel-based securecommunications in dual-hopwireless communication networks Article

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 6,   Pages 796-807 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700023

Abstract: This article is focused on secure relay beamformer design with a correlated channel model in the relay-eavesdropper network. In this network, a single-antenna source-destination pair transmits secure information with the help of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay equipped with multiple antennas, and the legitimate and eavesdropping channels are correlated. The relay cannot obtain the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) of the eavesdropper, and has only the knowledge of correlation information between the legitimate and eavesdropping channels. Depending on this information, we derive the conditional distribution of the eavesdropping channel. Two beamformers at the relay are studied for the approximate ergodic secrecy rate: (1) the generalized match-andforward (GMF) beamformer to maximize the legitimate channel rate, and (2) the general-rank beamformer (GRBF). In addition, one lower-bound-maximizing (LBM) beamformer at the relay is discussed for maximizing the lower bound of the ergodic secrecy rate. We find that the GMF beamformer is the optimal rank-one beamformer, that the GRBF is the iteratively optimal beamformer, and that the performance of the LBM beamformer for the ergodic secrecy rate gets close to that of the GRBF for the approximate secrecy rate. It can also be observed that when the relay has lower power or the channel gain of the second hop is low, the performance of the GMF beamformer surpasses that of the GRBF. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the beamformers’ performance.

Properties of a general quaternion-valued gradient operator and its applications to signal processing

Meng-di Jiang, Yi Li, Wei Liu,w.liu@sheffield.ac.uk

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 2,   Pages 83-95 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500334

Abstract: The gradients of a -valued function are often required for ic algorithms. The HR provides a viable framework and has found a number of applications. However, the applications so far have been limited to mainly real-valued functions and linear -valued functions. To generalize the operator to nonlinear functions, we define a restricted version of the HR operator, which comes in two versions, the left and the right ones. We then present a detailed analysis of the properties of the operators, including several different product rules and chain rules. Using the new rules, we derive explicit expressions for the derivatives of a class of regular nonlinear -valued functions, and prove that the restricted HR gradients are consistent with the gradients in the real domain. As an application, the derivation of the least mean square algorithm and a nonlinear adaptive algorithm is provided. Simulation results based on vector sensor arrays are presented as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the -valued signal model and the derived algorithm.
